I think that it is time to call off the trolls. No, I did not publish the comment below in the linked topic. Rather I chose to post it here in hopes of getting the message across that this type of support for Comodo does more harm than good.
"Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Comodo Firewall Update":There is no malware at the Online Armour Support Forums. In fact, the post that "Anonymous" was warning people away from is actually a typical gentlemanly post by Mike Nash:
I wouldn't trust Online-Armor either after this

If malware gets onto their forum how good can their software be"
"Hi Everyone,
Scot Finnie has some nice words to say about Online Armor at his blog.
http://blog.scotsnewsletter.com/
He's looking for people who have used Online Armor to relate their experiences, both good and bad.
So - there's the link, the comments and the contact details.
Please be kind, and if you can't be kind, at least be fair
Cheers
Mike"

I posted this in good faith after being alerted by my anti-virus
I was not warning people away from the post but the malware contained in it
I am not a fan of commodo or any other company I leave such pointlessness to the rest of the people on the web
I just use software that works and try my best to avoid the rest
I accept that the malware warned about is no longer at this address now
Thank you for the explanation and my apology for misunderstanding. Considering the ruckus that has been raised over Scot's blog post, I hope you understand why it seemed that an anonymous comment was an attempt to hurt Comodo's competition.
I saw your comment minutes after it was left because I had just checked the page for comments needing moderating and immediately visited the link at the Online Armour forum. There was no virus warning.
If you use Avast AV, there was a false/positive that effected some people visiting forums. Although it is not impossible for a forum to be infected, having code that would deliver an infected file to your computer without your invitation despite any Windows' or IE's protections is unlikely.
Since the post is already in Google's cache, I think the best action is to edit the post with a reference to your comment.
