This includes applications that have qualified to display the "Certified for Windows Vista" and "Works with Windows Vista" logos but also applications that are Windows Vista Ready.

I don't need a new computer, my laptop is less than a year old..but..it IS Vista ready.
So, I will wait about a year for the bugs to be ironed out before I consider moving up to the Vista OS.
