As announced previously, the long-awaited new Microsoft Edge Chromium-based browser has been released. For consumers, it will be installed in a future update to Windows 10, following a measured roll-out via Windows Update over the next several months. The New Edge (NE) works much better, but as with past explorers the Favorites file is a problem.
I would recommend before installing the NE that you export and save a file of your Favorites. This way after installing NE you can delete the mess made of your favorites and then import the saved Favorites file into the NE. Doing so will restore your Favorites back to how they appeared before installing the NE.
