My thanks to the developers of the tools used to help people seeking help in the forums and to all the talented people who share their knowledge behind the scenes.

This is certainly an exciting way to start off the New Year! More about the Microsoft MVP Program here.

Corrine - thank you for your wonderful letter about the HP Magic Giveaway. I appreciate your thorough response and I hope/know other readers will also.

Your family sounds delightful - and everyone was a winner.

As you said "the Magic Continues" -congratulations on the MVP award also.

In checking your site - may I ask if you work for Microsoft - or are you some type of ombudsman for them - for the community?

Thanks and Congrats, Kate

Hi, Kate.

Thank you for the return visit to Security Garden as well as your kind words. I was charmed by your blog. As a result, responding (and subscribing to the RSS feed) was irresistible.

No, I do not work for Microsoft. In fact, although many MVPs are employed in the area in which they are awarded, I am a long-time employee at Eastman Kodak in a completely unrelated area.

As Microsoft describes the MVP Award:

"The Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award is an annual award that is given to outstanding members of Microsoft's technical communities, and that is based on contributions made during the previous year to offline and online technical communities."

As you can see at Consumer Security*, the award is given to contributors from around the world. This interview, published at Vista4Beginners, may help provide a more personal view. The recognition by Microsoft is very special.

*(Consumer Security is the competency in which I was awarded. A full listing of the competencies is available at Microsoft MVP Awardees)

Thank you again,

Corrine

Congratulations to a very special friend on this re-award ... it's no surprise to anyone in the spyware hunter/killer community that you have been recognized once again.

Thank you, Winchester73. You are and always will be special.

I remember when I made LavaXPert and had posted my first "official" instructions. I was so nervous that I would mess up, I sent you a PM asking you to review my post.

Your continued guidance, support, and friendship are appreciated more than you could know.
