Webroot Spy Sweeper Reprieve!

It took almost a year and a half for the reprieve, but I am very pleased to learn that Webroot has finally removed the Ask Toolbar and Search Assistant from their Spy Sweeper antispyware software product!

Webroot Spy Sweeper is a subscription only software, which made it particularly disconcerting. Paying customers were presented with the ASK Toolbar and Search Assistant, resulting in Webroot receiving monies from IAC on a pay-per-install basis. Yet, other vendors provide antispyware software free for personal use without similar add-ons.
