Windows Vista Application Readiness

With the number of computers operating Windows Vista continually on the rise, the question is still in the minds of people looking to purchase a new computer as to what applications are compatible with Windows Vista. Look no more! Microsoft has compiled an extensive list and, while identified as Beta, the information provided is very helpful.

The information can be viewed in a number of ways. First is the list of all applications that are Windows Vista Compatible. This includes applications that have qualified to display the "Certified for Windows Vista" and "Works with Windows Vista" logos but also applications that are Windows Vista Ready.

Now you can search the Windows Vista AppReadiness Beta website before installing a new application and look for the Logos
or displayed in the listing or at least be assured that the application is Ready! for Windows Vista.

  1. I don't need a new computer, my laptop is less than a year old..but..it IS Vista ready.

So, I will wait about a year for the bugs to be ironed out before I consider moving up to the Vista OS.
