Changes Coming in Windows Live Hotmail

The Microsoft Windows Live Team has been working on an update for Windows Live Hotmail. Expected feature improvements include
  • Faster Logon
Signing in, viewing and opening e-mail should result in up to a 70% increase in speed with Broadband connections and a 56% increase in speed for dial-up.
  • Improved Security
Expect improved spam detection and protection against viruses and scams.
  • Design Changes
    • The classic and full versions of Hotmail are being combined, allowing you to check e-mail without having to open it up.
    • New Themes and colors to personalize your inbox.
  • Contact and Group Mail Improvements
tart typing in the "To" line and there will be a choice of e-mail contacts that most closely match what is typed.
  • Ever-Increasing Storage
Although limits, Hotmail storage will automatically grow as additional storage space is needed.
  • Instant Message (IM) from Hotmail
  • New calendar features
These are features that are not changing:
  • Your login
  • Your e-mail address
  • Your contact and distribution lists
  • Ability to get your e-mail anywhere you're on the Internet

Remember - "A day without laughter is a day wasted."
May the wind sing to you and the sun rise in your heart...
